
Michaela is back for another day clinic, open to those looking to enhance their horsemanship skills and learn some new techniques both on the ground and in the saddle. Topics include: Liberty Foundations, Body control/reining maneuvers, Obstacle approach/desensitization, General groundwork & general flatwork.

Our local schooling show invites all our students and the community once a year to showcase all their skills learned over the past season and are judged on their efforts. Riders learn show etiquette, scheduling, and how to get their horses show-ready. With a variety of divisions starting from Crossrails through to the 3’ Jumpers, we typically have a class for everyone!

Katie Colfer-Reece is a USHJA certified trainer and owner of K. Colfer Sporthorses since 2009 located just outside of Alanson, Michigan. Katie instructs both hunter/jumper and dressage riders, with success at both local and the national levels. KCS has been accepted as a USPC riding school and has been approved by the United States Pony Club - the largest equine educational organization in the world, riders from around the globe follow the pony club curriculum.

A family-day event! Join us from Noon-4pm for pony rides. Ages 6 years and up can go independently or with an adult. Helmets are provided.

Michaela Bowen of Thessalon, Ontario provides several services in the North and primarily focuses on horsemanship, confidence, trail riding, obstacles, performance, back in the saddle after a break. During the Clinic, participants can select two topics they prefer to focus on which include; Liberty Foundations, Body Control/Reining Maneuvers, Obstacle Approach/Desensitization, General Groundwork, General Flatwork. We are excited to learn more about these topics!

Shelley Ellis is the trainer and owner out of ‘Eastwood Stables’ located in Powassan, Ontario. Shelley has been teaching for over 44 years! She has extensive knowledge in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings. Shelley has dedicated so much time and effort in advancing the sport in the North by continuously providing showing opportunities to her young riders. Her commitment to the sport is truly unmatched.
